As a part of the application please submit a 1 page proposal outlining what you would like to focus on and accomplish during your year. This is designed to get the applicant thinking creatively about how they desire to invest their year.

Specifically the plan should outline:

    1. Ministry area of focus
    2. Description of strategy and rationale
    3. Desired outcomes and emphasis
    4. Proposed ministry timeline
    5. Proposed ministry budget

Areas of focus may be:

    • Church planting (if selected for planting stream).
    • Discipleship strategies
    • Evangelism
    • Serve Our City
    • Creative Arts (Music, Graphic, Video, Other)
    • Administration

The ministry proposal does not guarantee the project or limit the apprentice to only that project. Rather, it serves as a potential roadmap.

The apprenticeship is not a program to be consumed but an platform from which to pursue new opportunities.

In order to participate in the Apprenticeship Program the apprentice will be required to fundraise resources from which they can support themselves. They will not be required to fundraise direct-ministry expenses. The apprentice will be required to be 33% fundraised prior to starting and 100% fundraised at the end of the first four months of the apprenticeship.

We will provide materials, training and resources to help in the process of fundraising.

The financial picture of each person is different. As a result instead of establishing a fixed target for fundraising each application is required to submit a financial plan of how they intend to support themselves through the year. This involves submitting a budget / sustainability plan for how you intend to support yourself for your first year.

This is done in order ensure financial stress is not a significant distraction during the actual seasons of ministry. A proposed budget must be submitted with the application and discussed with the Apprenticeship supervisor.

The financial plan should include a realistic monthly budget. The budget may exclude certain components but must include a plan for how to see those needs addressed.

The Apprenticeship Program is a full-time commitment. Holding a part-time job during the apprenticeship requires prior approval of the apprenticeship director.
