Paul tells us to not worry, but to pray about everything and to keep an open, on going communication with the Lord. As it says:
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7, NLT)
Life can be a mixed emotional roller coaster from one week to the next; we are not robots, that is to say, we are not programed to have a fixed mood. We go through seasons in life; depending on our daily interactions with family and friends, even the situations we find ourselves in—we are constantly bombarded with external and internal distractions. However, as the Lord Almighty has promised, “I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.” (Joshua 1:5) And again in Hebrews 13:5, He says, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” Therefore, brothers and sisters, be encouraged in Paul’s words when he says, “Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” See, Christ wants a relationship with you; He wants to know what is going on with you, how your day is going, your needs, and the desires of your heart. We can talk to Him like we talk to our friend. Try it! Each morning before getting out of bed say “good morning Daddy” and open your heart to Him, I do. Also, throughout the day say small affirmations to God in a form of praise. I encourage you to do this and you will see that your day will be that much better.
There will be days where you will want to sing God’s praises more than other days, don’t be discouraged, remember we are not robots; heaven is full of saints who tried and tried again.
Be encouraged you are not alone.
