Spiritual Discernment 2: Surrender
When looking to hear and act on God’s voice, a critical starting place is surrender: the willingness to give our hearts to the Lord and have His heart become ours. Surrender is all about alignment and we can do this through intentional time in intimacy with Him, confession of sin, exchanging appearance of obedience, and exchanging comfort for confidence. As we surrender we’ll find that even that which seems uncertain is in the hands of a loving God who has secured our lives in the ultimate surrender at the cross.
